Got a few rolls of carpet underlay and was wondering if they'd be of any use on the farm?
    Any suggestions would be welcome.

You dont leave outside all alone do you ? o_O
Our one found its way into the house for the two cold winters, the frost cracked the pump on the previous one despite being well wrapped up. :-(

It's good for covering connections around water trocks as well with a plastic bag and tape

Ours was in a very closed in shed and well wrapped up and the frost still got it.
Have a thermostatic infra red light in with the wash down pump, water heater and vac pump.
