Presently looking for a good hardwearing sofa for our family room. Have had two sofas in last ten years and both became very shabby quickly even though neither were cheap. I'm now very dubious about what is good quality. I need something very hardwearing as the room gets a lot of use. Was in Next today and they had some lovely ones but don't know what the quality of their furniture is like. Has anyone purchased from them?

My sister has a corner sofa from DFS and while it was expensive, nearly 2 years on it looks as good as it did when she bought it. She doesn't have children but she has cats and the sofe shows no signs of any damage from the cats.

I have an ikea sofa. The covers are removable and can get thrown in the machine. You can also replace the covers if you feel like redecorating and having a different colour.
