Will updating to 4.1 lock my phone??

Hi folks, I have a HTC vivid I got in America, got it unlocked here over a year ago so I could use it on O2. It is currently running Android 2.3.4. What I want to know is if I update to 4.1 will it lock my phone again? I was intending to update it with the AT&T update via HTC sync! Any help is greatly appreciated
