US Preclearance (flying from DUBLIN through HEATHROW to LOS ANGELES)

Might be a silly question, but where should I expect US Preclearance?

My first flight is from DUBLIN to LONDON (Heathrow) - I guess I should not expect US Preclearance here, since the flight is within Europe.

LONDON (Heathrow) to LOS ANGELES - I guess the US Preclearance should be in Heathrow, but I found some information online, saying that there is no US Preclearance in Heatrow airport...

Can anyone please explain what & where to expect?

    Thanks

Ireland is the only country in Europe to offer pre-clearence (and one of only 3 worldwide I think). You'll go through customs and immigration in the US.
