I applied online a few weeks back on the Daa website, just wondered if anyone else did the same?

    Hi Pod,

No I never got so much as a chance of an interview. Apparently they are short females and are not taking males for a while

Saw this ad up again last week. Can't apply sadly, I'd fail the colour blindness test :(

Get and keep in contact with the recruiter in flex source. Panels are set up as their all ways hiring for this department!

I was currently considering this role, but then came across this.
    No idea what this means.

As part of the DAA selection process you are required to provide a 5 year background history. If you are successful at the interview stage this information will be used as part of your required documentation to apply for Security Clearance. On the above information you must provide a history with gaps of no more than 14 days between each role stated above.

    N.B.
Begin with current roles /unemployed periods/ college going back for 5 years
If you have worked for a company that in no longer in operation – it will be necessary to get verification of dates employed from the Revenue Commissioners
For gaps of 14 days or more you will need to provide a Character reference
If unemployed you will need to provide a letter from your local Social Welfare office confirming same

Am I supposed to get a letter from the parish priest, or a local TD to say I am a decent chap Never heard an employer asking for proof if you are unemployed if you say you are. Seem a little bizarre.

No idea if I can even progress with my application now. Surely they can ask a character reference from a potential employee anyway if they are being considered for a role.

That's hardly what they meant?
Job would require garda clearance anyway.

Just applied for this job a few hours ago. Haven't received any automatic email - hope I didn't enter my email address incorrectly. Does anyone who applied remember if they got an automatic email immediately after applying?
