    Hey guys,

Just wondering have many people travelled abroad during the xmas time period? I am looking for suggestions. Preferably Europe. I usually like big cities, not a fan of the Lanzerote style sun holidays

As far as I know, many of the European Cities close for the Christmas eve,day and possible Stephens day. I Know you said you didn't want to go to Lanzarote but I have been there for Christmas a few years ago and loved it. We stayed in a hotel on half board and found it all very relaxing.

I went to Budapest last November and can definitely recommend it. There's a thread here on the first or second page where I've highlighted recommendations of things to do there. Food, drink, taxis and accommodation are very cheap also.
