So I'm trying to plan which night/nights are the best to go out on and which pubs and clubs to hit next week as part of Halloween. Does anyone know of any good places and special nights to try?

I've never been out on Halloween on the scene so trying to research!

Annnnnnd, what are we all dressing up as? :D

I think people going as sexualised stuff (the most famous seemingly being a sanitary towel with red paint over it) was a big thing for a while but seems to have died out. Remember, it's about scaring people with ghost / horror themed outfits, why people dress up as sexy versions of things I dunno. What's scary about that? Maybe it's just an excuse for some people to act out a fetish or fantasy and not be self concious?!

Than again, a giant white thing with a tail flying past your feet whilst you're tipsy would scare the bayjeezus outta ye, alright!

2nd November in Sugar Club is a Rocky Horror Picture show party, a real campy cult classic.

Haha, some great (and eh, interesting) costume choices. Suppose I'll just rip up a pair of jeans and shirt and cover myself in blood. Just got to pick a night then and sorted! :D

Not Halloween without a bit of Rocky Horror!

Sorry for jumping in on this thread!!! I'm doing the fortune telling at the local schools Halloween party and I'm stuck on ideas to keep the kids interested and entertained, the ages are from 4 to 11. It's this Friday so any ideas on props what to say etc would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

True, not sure there'll be much help here for that!

Face paints, costume made! Ah the excitement! Still not sure where to go, but I'll decide closer to the times!

Perhaps fetish/fantasy is a little strong, but yeah I use it is an excuse to dress up as some historical figure/film character that I like, as do most people at any Halloween party I've been to. I don't see anything wrong with that at all:)
I think the scary stuff is associated more with kids now.

My "costume" is: My loudest pin-stripe suit. A pale mint green shirt. A multi-coloured tie. Brown dress shoes. A Bluetooth earpiece. Getting a slightly weird, mullet-combover hairstyle (Dax Wax doing the job there). Speaking in a faux-New York/Jewish/Loud accent.

    What's all that equal?

    "Better Call Saul!" :D

Or Saul Goodman from 'Breaking Bad', in case anyone doesn't know. :o

After some messy pub nights this week with face paints, think I'll just don a onsie and go out in comfort! ^^
