Just wondering can anyone who has travelled on delta airlines recently let me know what the meal options were. I'm a vegetarian but read bad things about their special meals, so don't want to request one if there's a non-meat option available anyways.

    Bottom of: http://www.delta.com/content/www/en_US/traveling-with-us/in-flight-services/products/dining/economy-dining.html
    Vegetarian (lacto-ovo)
    Vegetarian (pure)

Meal I got ages ago was fine (for airline food).

I know they do special meals on request however I have been told (and read online) that they aren't great, and are many times actually vegan..so I'd like to know if there's a veggie option available usually. I think they used to offer a choice between vegetarian pasta or chicken, not sure if it's still the same

Probably best to contact them directly.

It is. Your choices will be either a vegetarian pasta, or a chicken/beef meal with some kind of veg.

I order Asian Vegetarian..and I'm a meat eater! Better quality out of Dublin than the US but still leagues ahead of their chicken in a sauce that repeats on you for days.

Thanks for that! Will go with the pasta. You don't happen to know what the breakfast options were do you?

I would rather avoid spicy food on flights! Good to know the food is decent out of Dublin though :)

Going to the States, you won't get a breakfast option, just the regular meal. On the way back, you usually get a light snack about an hour before landing, that is usually a cup of processed orange juice, (awful stuff) a banana and a horrible breakfast sandwich of some sort (usually cheese) that is heated up. Sometimes there is a little tub of yogurt too.

I'm flying into atlanta the delta website lists breakfast as the meal served! I might just prepare something myself and take it with me to be safe. Thanks for the help! :)
