Never received summons

I have received a letter from the sheriff regarding money owed. There was a high court order granted for him to come to my home.
My problem is that I never received a summons & I had wanted to defend if it went to court, I had been trying to reach a payment arrangement with the other party but their solicitors never even replied to my letters.
Sheriff says I need to deal with the other party solicitors. I rang them Friday but they didn't come back to me. The sheriff is due on Tuesday! Any ideas?

Ideas - Yes. Forum charter suggests that you need legal advice, which is not available here.

The fact that the sheriff is due, usually means that some form of judgment has been obtained already. That said, impossible to know.

You should go to a solicitor post haste and also note that you can also go to FLAC if you are in difficulties.
