If your a pro/semi pro photographer, doing portrait and baby shoots once a week or more, would you:

-purchase your own decent quality printer
    or
    -outsource to an online vendor?

    Outsource.

You'll melt your head and waste loads of money trying to get it right.

or outsource to local friendly printer and framer :-))

    option 1
do yourself, can be good if you have space and doing decent volume

    option 2
online printer, turnaround times, if there is an issue, generally wont get to talk to or build a relationship with them

    option 3
local supplier, means you can get to talk to them, generally gonna be more flexible

cost shouldnt be the biggest issue, quality should be, option 1 and 3 is going to give you that. also give you better control
