Wanted: 9 speed shimano shifters for a winter build. Does anyone have any tempting offers for me?

Just a word of advice....The only shimano 9-speed sti shifters worth buying are the Dura-ace 7700 ones- if you can find a pair, as the internal mechanism in the 9 speed ultegra and 105 shifters of the same vintage weren't exactly famed for their longevity.

On my budget I may need to aim for Tiagra so... :o

Would steer clear of the tiagra too...for the same reason.
Have a look at the retrobike classified section on the link below.

The newer ten speed 6600 7800 series levers are more durable, but then you would have to buy a new cassette and chain..

I had 9 speed Tiagra before and found it ok tbh. 13k without any issues. Mind you, it was the very end of the Tiagra 9sp line. I think they went 10sp the year after.
Thanks for the link. Looks to be a decent resource.

I have tiagra 9 speed with a triple, still in use, looking for 40euro though as I will keep them otherwise

I'll take them if you don't mind!
Not for this build, which is a standard double, but perfect for the next in line :)

Still in the market for 9sp double shifter set if anyone wants to offload.

I am upgrading 10 speed, so I will have 9-speed ultegra 6500 shifters + chain and cassette available in a couple of weeks. There are on my summer/weekend bike so very light use, well maintained and work extremely well.

    Hi
If there's any chance that Dermot doesn't take these shifters from
you could you keep me in mind because the ratchet system in
    mine has packed up
    Thanks

My new shifters still haven't arrived, so it probably around two weeks before I can sell the 9 speed ones.

They would have been perfect, but I managed to get sorted in the meantime.
    GLWS!
