There is a great breastfeeding support thread in the Newborns and Toddlers forum and the women there know their stuff. A few have combination fed and will be able to help you out.

It is possible. Some babies cope fine, others have difficulties.
What makes you feel baby isn't getting enough? There are a lot of times that babies can get fussy at the breast, especially during growth spurts. It is also normal for babies to feed every 1.5-3 hours for up to the first 12 weeks, sometimes beyond, or to look for a feed very soon after the previous one had finished.
Often combination feeding can work but it can add unnecessarily to your workload. If possible, a Breastfeeding support group can be great to attend as its the best place to find out what's normal baby behaviour or if there might be a genuine issue. :)
