So, figured this might be a nice trip down nostalgia lane. WWE.com posted the following video, listing their top 10 Raw endings of all time.

    Did yours make the list?

Surprised at some making it (Cody/Godust winning the tag titles was great, but top 10?), and others not; Nexas forming would be in mine easily, same with the Pimpbomb promo, and Brock returning and hitting Cena with an F5.

Amazing how many of the moments have JR adding so much...

    Mine didn't make it.

Despite the flaws in the storyline I still get major goosebumps from this one all these years later.

I haven't watched the video but The Great One returning a few years back too host Wrestlemania had me jumping around my bedroom at 4am live! Serious mark out moment!!

    Austin saving Team WWF.

how that didn't make it is beyond me. should be top 3.

other notable exclusions are HHH's return at MSG, Punk's Pipebomb and Flair's "Retirement".

a lack of Cena in the list should also speak volumes as to how many "moments" he's ever actually been involved in.

The one thing that jumps out is that the crowds were electric. You'd forget just how into it they got back in the day.

I'm quite happy with that been number 3! The Rhodes bros winning gold didn't deserve too be there!!

The crowd in the attitude days was soooo hot! Also JKL was the perfect foil for JR!

Some of those should be nowhere near it. The Jericho return stands out like a sore thumb. As was said above, Brock return, Nexus debut should have been on it.

Jericho/Benoit v Austin/HHH would have easily made it if they could have included him (Benoit). That match was so much more deserving than Rhodes/Shield

The Raw where ECW and WCW joined forces, and Steph was revealed as the new ECW owner should be in there.

Have to agree with the top 1. Probably the biggest pop for a run in ever. It was insane.

I was in America when that happened and was going to my first WWF house show that week. Totally shook up the whole roster and card for the event...
    Was class

Enjoyed the vid. Almost all of them are from 98-00. That Austin pop for Foley's title win on RAW was MONSTROUS. I wonder how kids seeing the Attitude Era for the first time feel about crazy crowds and a much more raucous product. WWE don't help the "things will never be as good as they used to be". Stuff like this and referring to anything great these days as "Attitudinal" :o

Austin tops nearly every list WWE comply :P

Kurt Angle's milkomania running wild deserves a spot imo

Grown men reacting like girls at a one direction concert. Mental it was

The absence of Stone Cold saving Stephanie from the Undertaker stinks massively, aswell as the Higher Power Vince one.

The Number 1 choice with Foley winning the title, wasn't that the night when everybody changed channels from Nitro to Raw after Eric Bischoff announced that Foley would be winning the title? No wonder WWE love that moment!

Rhodes brothers winning the tag-titles shouldn't even be in the top 50.

Austin returning to save WWF was an amazing moment but I can't help but wonder that if Cena returned and beat up 20 guys, The IWC would cr@p all over that with the usual supercena complaints. I guess it wasn't included because they didn't want to overload with Austin videos.

Batista's return to collect the bounty on Goldberg was a good RAW ending too.

By gawd, you're right! It had a very "end of a raw" feel to it though..... :o

    Vince McMahon's limo asploding...
    Orton RKOing Stephanie...
    (iirc) Kane unmasking...

I wouldn't really class the Limo exploding one as a great Raw ending, cause we never got an ending for that. Also, I don't think they'd ever put that up considering that they pulled that storyline cause of the Benoit stuff.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,196 ✭✭✭Ridley

The parameter is Raw endings not storyline endings. Otherwise the three I marked out wouldn't get listed along with the debut of Nexus. :P

But the fact that they then acted like it just never happened takes away from it (for me), so I don't really see it as a great show ending.
