You're able to close your own account through your User CP.

Privacy issues are a valid cause to have a post removed, but not a mass delete. If there specific individual posts that warrant removal, then you can ask the mods of the forums in questions to remove them.

Name changes are available for subscribers, and you could subscribe for the minimum one month and have it done. I didn't mention this earlier, as it didn't seem a likely choice if you were closing your account.
