Macbook Air 2012 Model Recall

    Apple are recalling last years Macbook Airs. Here's a link to the firmware to test if the drive is faulty.

    Just ran the update there and it updated successfully, so looks like I'm ok. Big relief, would be very difficult to part with it for a while.

    Just reading on The Verge that it seems to be the Toshiba drives which are affected, not the Samsung ones.

    Mine says that My Mac doesn't need the update...

    I assume that means its ok
