Seems she was found in a Roma camp, but DNA tests confirm she is not Roma nor is she the offspring of her purported parents who have now been arrested.

There's a stroy to be told here it seems. How the heck did she end up in a Roma camp? Who are her real parents? What the heck did the Roma want with her?

    Poor little kid... :(

    These people are scumbags
The fact that the Roma woman who had abducted her claimed to have given birth to 6 children in 10 months says it all

    Like is she for real?
She then said the girl was "given" to her??

What parent in their right mind would give their precious little girl to these scumbags there are many people who would love to adopt her and give her the love and care and a home that she needs not living in a slum

And these are the same people looking for sympathy??

I heard a programme on BBC R4 a while back and the Roma said that child slavery the selling and buying of children and child prostition and prostition was "part of their culture" this made me sick!!

They also said that begging and stealing cock fighting and other thuggish behaviour is part if their "culture"

My heart goes out to this poor poor girl and I hope she finds her true family and that she has happy life but imagine all the children who "look" like Roma but who are abducted?

I think on a plus side this may give Madeline McCanns parents some hope.

Perhaps not directly, just the fact that it happens, but may have more significance in the Ben Needham case. There was a discounted sighting back in 95 to a Roma camp in Greece. Private investigators made links to this camp. His grandfather is convinced of this but says police said it was impossible for gypsies to hide a blond child. This is the proof he needed.

The girl looks quite northeast European, possibly Latvian/Lithuanian.
Apparently hundreds of parents of missing children have claimed she could be theirs.

Imagine hundreds of children of that age missing, the mind absolutely boggles beyond belief.:confused:

Just a relevant aside, in the home video did you see the way the Roma woman was delighting in showing off the one year old blond girl then violently wrenched another child away who wandered in to the frame. Disgusting. Showed exactly her attitude to children. Blonde money is what she was admiring.

I'd hazard a guess at more in the thousands, there are many who fall under the radar, be it via unscrupulous records in orphanages across the globe or, vulnerable people either forced or willing to give up or sell their children. It sounds grim, but I imagine it is a reality.

The Roma and their backward ways of living shouldn't be tolerated in Europe. It should be conform or else get out or locked up.

It should be more vigilantly policed because of the nomadic lifestyle, which can facilitate crime more easily. A specific unit to be familiar with and monitor crime within nomadic communities would not be a bad idea.

The buying and selling of babies seems to be a well known human traffic in these communities.(roma, gypsy)
Recently in France 2 people have been convicted of selling a baby for 10 000 euros, the French police were also aware of another 3 or 4 "sales".
I think it was mentioned at the time another sale involved a swap with a BMW, although the article I'm linking to does not mention that.
    http://www.lemonde.fr/societe/article/2013/08/30/deux-enquetes-ouvertes-sur-un-trafic-presume-de-bebes-roms_3468901_3224.html

What this article mentions that could be linked to this little girl, is the arrival in France between 1993, 2001, and 2005, of a number of pregnant Bulgarian ladies who sold their babies for 3000 to 7500 euros each. It is said the mothers hardly got any share of the money, it being collected by traffickers rather. There were convictions in 2007 for this traffic. It would make sense that some batches of pregnant ladies may have been dispatched elsewhere afterwards, since the French authorities were now aware of the procedure.

The article mentions Roma couples not being able to have babies themselves, but imo it seems like there are other uses for babies in the Roma community, ie : claiming benefits, sending them begging, or maybe retrading them later ?

edit : back in France I remember observing swapping of babies to beg in the metro hallways : all the ladies would get the same baby in turns, better returns from holding a little bundle as opposed to the bigger ones I suppose.

Why is this not highlighted more, why are we afraid to make large of these crimes. A link to any community which cloaks crime like human trafficking and child slavery (willingly or inadvertantly) deserves closer monitoring.

She might have been abandoned. Her biological parents may be wretched and miserable. She may have been a child entrusted to anyone by a suicidal mother. FFS stop jumping to sick conclusions. I can guarantee you one thing. We call Travellers "knackers" but a Traveller woman, if she was given a stray or an orphan, she would wrap that child up safe an take a bill-hook to anyone who came close.

How can you be so certain?
    She may or may not?
Now who the one judging people now?
