    ..apologies, should read REACH..

    HI All
Looking for a bit of advice before we meet with hotel. We are hoping to get married in a civil ceremony next October. We have got a wedding brochure from the hotel we really like. Problem is the packages range in 35, 49 and 51 euros per person. The 38 is very basic but the 49 is too expensive.
The only thing is that the 49 has inclusions on our that we wouldn't need eh gym club membership, chauffeur driven car. Would it be cheeky to down three price of the 49 package, exclude the bits not applicable to us and find a compromise between the two prices.
Sorry if this sounds stupid but just want some experience/advice before we head in.
Thanks a million for any help given :-)

If you don't ask you don't get, just be aware lots of 'extras' won't reduce the price as they don't cost hotels that much to offer.

Used to work in a hotel that did weddings, definitely would have done versions of this with a lot of couples (either start with the cheapest package and add bits on, or start with the max package and take bits off)

Would also be useful to price a couple of other places with similiar packages, just to give you an idea of how much the price should go up or down for each item

Make a list of what you want..
Exact menu, exact evening requirements etc and try and get a compromise in betwen, even changing the choice of main courses can save you over 5 euro a head.
Most palces give weekday an doff peak discounts too.

I picked what I wanted off the most expensive package & left out what I felt was not needed & our hotel tailored a price for us based on that.
That's one of the things I really liked about our hotel was their flexiblity :-)
