This is the fourth year dine in Dublin is running.

    http://dineindublin.ie/

40 restaurants in Dublin (some very posh some not) do special deals for the next week

Theres some good bargains from what I can see and each restaurant will give its dine in Dublin menu on the website

    such as Mao for example

    http://www.dineindublin.ie/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/Mao.pdf

    3 Course Menu €25
Plus a Cocktail / Bottle of Beer OR Glass of House Wine
    (Chatham Row only)

hmm, I often wondered if these things were actually any good or just restaurants trying make money.

The MAO one dosent seem great, Compared to MAO'S normal A la carte menu the most expensive 3 courses you can pick on the Dine in Dublin menu
total up about 27 euro so basically all your getting is a free glass of wine/beer/cocktail at the very max.

Partook in this in a few restaurants last year, thought it was fantastic. Haven't looked at the menus yet for this years bunch, but I distinctly remember paying 25 euro for a three course in the Citron restaurant above the Fitzwilliam hotel and it was well worth the money.

    Some great options...

Saba (4 courses for €30 all week) - I've booked here, love the place, full menu to chooose from too
Mao (3 courses + a cocktail for €25 all week)
The Hot Stove (7 course tasting for €50)
Bang (5 course tasting menu for €40)
Brasserie 7 (used to be Rhodes D7, 4 courses and wine for €30)

Anyone know anything about this year's one? I see the list of restaurants on their site, but scant information about prices or menus for it.
    http://dineindublin.ie/food-festival/overview/
Edit: some restaurants have a menu and pricing if you click into them but a lot have no info. Lot of cafes and small places on it eg Burrito bar. I don't see how they would be part of it.
Website seems crap. If you filter the ones participating in the festival, it brings you into a general list of all restaurants in Dublin, most of them not participating.

Is this bargain applicable to anybody not dining in the pale?

No I think it's just restaurants in Dublin included in Dine in Dublin.

I don't think they check passports. You are likely to find an amuse bouche to compliment the chip on your shoulder.

Looks good. Not too many participants though.

I've been looking at the website for the last few minutes and cant figure out whats going on at all - it's just a list of restaurants.

Why would I go next week when this festival is on, as opposed to any other time of the year?

The only special I can find is a free bottle of wine if you spend €65 at Fade Street Social, which is a not a great 'deal' anyway.

    Am I missing something?

Stay on this page, don't filter, just keep clicking on load more restaurants and it will only show dine in Dublin ones, there's about 50:
