Hi - my Mum is 68. Shes been on the council list since April 2008 and has been assessed as having a housing need. She gets a Non-contributory state pension from UK which comes to just over €700 p/m plus a small Widows non-contributory pension from here. The max rent in her chosen are is €375 and shes been lucky enough to find a place with the rent at exactly this. What reasons might she be refused rent suppliment? What could we do if she is?
