Removing wax off black plastic panels

is there a good product that will strip off wax from black plastics on door handles/bumpers etc...it looks really bad when car is washed and ive scrubbed and scrubbed and cannot get it off so without doing damage to paimt work is there something i can use to get it off easy enough? cheers
