    How do some stay open till 4am and some are 2am,2.30 or 3am

    Please supply a comprehensive and exhaustive list of all those closing at 4am so that your question may be better answered (and I may stagger into the right venue).

    Some places in Dublin City Centre for example definetly stay open later than other place. Not sure why as, as far as I recall they overhauled the famous "Theatre Licences".

    I was in Legg's on Leeson St at about 3am when the music suddenly stopped. Everyone turned around and saw a Garda in high vis by the entrance.

    Short answer, they're not allowed stay open that late.

    This contained the proposals - Dublin was to be allowed to stay open until 4am. Whether this made it to the legislation which I'm not in a position to dig out, you have me.
