well lads new to boards, long time NFL and seahawks fan, just started training with the new dundalk team, am sure this thread has been started before at some stage but im just looking for some info on where is the best place to get a helmet and a set of pads, a good value new set would be ideal but i would go for a second hand set in good condition, so if yas have any info or have any gear for sale give me a shout thanks, if yav any second hand gear am 6 foot tall and regular build so if your a linebacker there aint much sense in trying to sell me something haha

Usually the best place to get 2nd hand gear would be through contacts with the club, try ask your coaches, they would probably have links with other teams or know players trying to sell on old gear etc.

Worth looking at buying sets new including padding etc. Have a look at http://www.footballamerica.co.uk/shop/ for the started kits, it aint cheap but covers everything you need.

But i would say if looking at 2nd hand ask through club, they would surely know people trying to sell gear :)

    What colour do Dundalk wear?
I have a Navy XL Revo with a black facecage sitting in my Parent's house back in Bray.

Only wore it for a few months before I blew out my knee and stopped playing, bought myself a white one when I moved to London and started playing again.

I'd let it go for €50

Get the lads at club to get your measurements. That is your first port of call. Its important for the gear to fit correctly
