    Any recommendations folks ?

Looking for 3 - mother and mo-in-law. It'll be a "love" job (wont be taking cash off them), so cheap is good! Would much prefer the freesat option but their TVs aint saorview ready, so 2 boxes are out of the question, despite the calls that will undoubtedly come when a freq change hits some sh1tty channels that they have fallen in love with.

    Walker WP645TS-HD Saorview Combo

    Triax TSC114 Saorview Combo Receiver
Just to clarify. The walker saorview combo uses the OPT button to switch between the satellite and terrestrial channels.

The Triax TSC114 Saoerview Combo DOES have all the channels in one channel list ie.. all your RTEs, TV3 etc from Saorview and the BBCs, ITVs, C4s etc from satellite.

DID are advertising a Combi box 4ife at €69. I think it has a slot for a 2.5" sata drive. A friend has one and has had no problems.

Are the saorview and FTA listings all on the same EPG or do you need to press a button to distinguish between them (similar to the Walker units)?

I think its only the walker and all of the same boxes eg Digihome, normende etc..

This should have them all in 1 menu.

This board is littered with people who do have problems with these boxes. Stay away would be my advice.
