Going to test drive one of these at the weekend. New baby on the way in new year and new car needed. I would love something more stylish etc. but to match the money I would be buying a three or four year old car with 40,000 on the clock. My major worry is the interior, will it have fallen apart in 5 years. I would be greatful for any opinions and dont spare me if you think its a bad idea, |I can take it!!!

Which model were you thinking of?

Keep in mind that delivery, 5 year warranty and metallic are €1500 extra and that discount will be small.

A diesel signature would end up around €17 grand, so really you're competing with much newer cars than 4 years

    You'd get a 2012 renault fluence for €13200 for example and 131s for €16200

12 reg lancers with the excellent 1.8 mivec diesel can be Had for €16k as can diesel 12 focuss

Logan MCV's are used a lot as taxis in Turkey and they seem to stand up well to the abuse.

Dont think there's anything particularly wrong with them but personally, I'd prefer a year old Focus for refinement, fit and finish, resale etc.

This weeks Autocar magazine has a road test of the Logan so have a look at their website.
