    Evening All,

Spent four hours today power housing the footpaths around the house as they had gathered Algae growth over the last few years. As would be expected the north side of the house was the worst and at times could be dangerous as it could become slippy when wet.
I wonder would any of ye know of any chemical / coating I could apply to the paths to stop / reduce this growth as I fear continuous power housing of the paths over the years will lead to them been worn down.

Posting this in the Farming Forum as ye may know / use a chemical in parlours or winter housing to prevent algae growth.

    Thanks All,
    Islanderre

Chlorous . A 25 litre drum can be bought in any farm shop. Should be around a euro a litre.

It's chlorine and can be mixed with water and used to clean concrete. It brings it up like new.

As far as I am aware it's not harmfull to the concrete.

All the above will give you a shiny path but wont stop the algae growing.
