His van was 6 months out of doe that's all. It's back dated now. You get a year from when it's out.

What the guy said to me when I was doing mine last week is it's now back dated so in the case of it being out 4 years maybe they just look at the month it expired and knock of the four years if you know what I mean. Anyway your friend will get a full year next time provided it's not let expire to long.

Since when are DOEs back dated? Any of ours have been a year from the date of test regardless of the expiry date of the old one.

The rule only came in two weeks ago with all the new rule. You get a disc for the window and all. It's not even called a doe any more its cvrt and its stricter.

Ahh. Well that's crap. Do the tax office still charge you to convert your cert to theirs?

Looks to me if your doe is out you need to do 3 more doe tests ,1 ,your test is out a year ,your new test lasts for 6 months from when it was last done or less ,then a test after 6 months which will expire on the day of first reg of vehicle which could be in 2 weeks so another test ,what a joke ,check out cvrt website
