    See below from Battlefield.Battlelog site.

    Says we only have 3 weeks to upgrade to PS4 version.

    BF4 out in Europe on 1st Nov.

    PS4 out in Europe on 29th Nov.

    = >3 weeks

    = WTF?

    BUY NOW, UPGRADE LATER

    Don’t wait to get into the action. You can buy the game on current-gen and benefit from up to three weeks of play time – time that can be used to rank up, giving you a competitive advantage on the next-gen battlefield. We respect the time you will invest in playing and don’t want you to lose all of your effort when you upgrade to next-gen. That is why we are making it easy to carry forward your multiplayer stats and your Battlefield 4 Premium membership. No more worrying about starting all over again. Your rank, score, K/D ratio, wins, time played, service stars, dog tags taken, vehicles destroyed, repairs, revives, squad score, accuracy and more will all transfer to next-gen consoles at launch.

    Scroll down to the Playstation Offers section and you'll see you much longer than three weeks to upgrade for the reduced price.
    Not sure where they got the three weeks from, typo maybe ?

    Read it again. It says you can benefit from up to 3 weeks of play time to rank up before it hits the next gen. Nothing about having to upgrade within 3 weeks of current gen consoles.

    Another Q;

    When you upgrade does the upgrade have to be a digital version?

    If so, has anyone downloaded a full game digitially...does it take forever?

    All the digital versions are distributed through CDNs, and hence are geo balanced and normally high speed. The determining factor will by your local connection.

    Also you can do a manual swap in Gamestop if you want.
