    Hi
I recently submitted a Form 12 for Rental income for 2012.
I got my P21 balancing statement back yesterday. I can't see where the Allowable Capital Allowances for 2012 were taken into consideration.
'Net Rental Income but Before Capital Allowances' is in Panel 1 as Rental Income but I don't see where my Capital Allowances are subtracted anywhere on the P21.
Can anyone explain this to me? Am I missing something?
    Thanks for the help

I have looked at my P21 for 2011.
In Panel 1 Rental Income is the amount less expenses and Capital Allowances.
In Panel 1 in my 2012 P21 statement Rental Income is less expenses but not Capital Allowances.
So either I made a mistake and did not fill in the Capital Allowances (which I don't think I did) or Revenue did not subtract them from the rental income.
What is the best way to get this amended?
Can it be done over the phone? or Send a letter highlighting the error?

phone if the error is theirs

Email or letter if it's yours

    Thanks
Could I just wait until next years tax return and use "Capital Allowances Brought forward from prior year" in FOrm 12 to deduct from next years Rentalm income?

that could be messy if you dont have anything in the "Capital Allowances available for carry forward or offset" form for FY12

Yes thanks you may be right, rang revenue and they said to send an e-mail with details of the error and it would be amended. So think I'll go with that.
