My wife and I got a two year old male (neutered) rescued Shih Tzu back in July. His history was sketchy but we knew he had "issues". He obviously was not socialised as a puppy, because he can be quite aggressive towards both people and other dogs. Lately (this was not an issue when we first got him) he has taken to lungeing at pasers by, who are paying him no attention. We have being reading up on training methods, and applying these as best we can, and have had him to basic training classes, both with limited results. The other day he nipped my wife while she was trying to brush him. We think it is time to have a behaviour specialist assess him and advise us accordingly.

I am aware that some of these "experts" can be no such thing. That's why I'd like some tried and trusted recommendations.

    Many thanks. :)
