I heard on the radio today that there is a tax credit for having a child under your care.

I dont know much about my tax , or my partners.

I have a 9 year old boy and we all live together in out own home.

Is my partner and myself due any tax back?

The One-Parent Family tax credit was mentioned in the Budget, yes. It only applies to lone parents.

If only one spouse works and the other is a stay at home parent you would be due the home carer's credit either.
