New thriller with Liam Neeson and Julianne Moore.

Looks dumber than a box of rocks, but really good fun!

I see both R'as Al Ghul and Thomas Wayne are in it.
    Looks good.

I wonder is his seat, number 58?

Going to watch it now so hopefully turns out to be good. The trailers seem to give a lot away though!

Surprisingly good fun. It'll never win any awards, but it was a decent action movie. I read a review during the week that said the final 20 minutes ruined it. I didn't find that at all. I thought the motive for why it was happening did make sense (despite teetering on the edge of silliness).

Neeson did a great job with the role too. His character in Non-Stop was a bit more rough around the edges (and thus a bit more three dimensional) than Taken/Unknown, but he was still a badass. :)

Just out of this and rather enjoyed it. It's dumb as hell and has more holes than you can keep track of but it's one of the more enjoyable thrillers in recent memory. Neeson is obviously relishing his action star status and is immensely watchable here while he goes through the motions. There's nothing original here and the motivation behind the hijack is ridiculous but it never really takes away from the fun.

I saw it tonight too and really enjoyed it! Having seen 12 Years a Slave last week, it was nice to just be able to sit back and have everything clearly happen in front of you - no real thinking required except for guessing who it might be! Couple of holes, but hey, I didn't go to see it expecting a masterpiece.

Didn't like it. Couldn't get into it at all.

Wanted to like it sooo much though.

I also think it was obvious who was going to be behind it all:
As why else would you cast McNairy, stick glasses on him and downplay his character.

It's the same reason Keyser Soze had a limp ffs. Are people really that dumb watching these films.

    Think McFly, think!

    Anyway..

I still could have liked it, despite that but it just couldn't hold my attention.

Tried too hard to to come up with snappy dialogue too, which I think ended up sounding clunky.

I liked parts of it I suppose but the parts I hated, outnumbered them and so, didn't enjoy it.

I want The Grey II, as I just know he battered those wolves.

Excuse the pun, but Liam Neeson was on auto-pilot. It's as if he stepped off the set of Taken and took a plane home. He has turned into the new Sean Connery. By that I mean he does not even try to hide his accent any more and there will be some reference made to his origins within the plot that add nothing to the plot just to accommodate him. 90 minutes of chewing gum for the eyes. Ironically, the best place to catch a movie like this would be on a plane as a time filler. Not much chance of that though.

Already a thread on the film.

As for his accent, well I'll take his every day one over the rather odd American accent he's been using in recent years. The difference between him and Connery is that Neeson isn't playing Spanish or Anerucan characters and giving them a Scottish accent. Neeson at least tries to fit into the role.

In the film he is described as coming from Northern Ireland. One of the pundits speculates that he could be IRA.

It's not a crucial plot point is it? I think that is just thrown in to half explain his accent.

Saw this last weekend and I have to say it really did what it said on the tin (trailer), silly, fun, suspenseful in all the right places, few giggles, think Id probably go again.

Nothing spectacular but still a great movie to go see when you just want something to escape into :D

I seen this last weekend. Awful movie. The English accent really ruined it for me.

Is hilarious but I recommend don't go see it in cinema - wait for it to come out on DVD and watch it with some booze with your friends - you will be in stitches..

I loved it! During the matrix style mid air gun grabbing action scene I found myself punching air and shouting Yes Yes at the screen (hope I didn't disturb the other cinema goers too much).

Absolutely fantastic enjoyable nonsense. Who cares about plot holes, Liam Neeson using a mobile device to receive threats and ensuing chaos does it for me.

At one point I thought he was going to beat someone with a plane meal, would have been a good use of it.

Taken is a dumb action movie. The Grey is a drama about death and loss which many mistake for a dumb action movie. Different beasts, both very enjoyable in their ways.

Commando is a dumb action movie about a father searching for his kidnapped daughter, it's 100 times better than Taken which tries to be a serious action film but fails miserably, don't even get me started on Maggie Grace's performance in it.

thats neesons natural accent, hes northern irish,

its a very OK kind of movie, not in anyway a stand out kind of film, i am really puzzled as to why Juliane Moore even bothered with the film, her character could have been played by a stand-in actress,

poor effort for neeson TBF, he really should get his agent to screen these films a bit better,

Yeah I liked how that was done too, I laughed at how they fuzzed out the curse words by making it look like a broken screen. It was clever.

the testing and onscreen thing grated with me in minutes! Even just watching him text!

Some great cheesyness - just needed Liam to throw the cop a sweaty rag at the end!

Well that was an enjoyable, mindless fare till we found out Whodone it.
    9/11?

A real roll your eyes moment and a shame

    Same here.
The film was interesting up until that point. But as soon as that was revealed it did lower the over all rating in my opinion.
