    Hi,

I am looking to set my gas boiler on a timer and have heard from friends that setting it to come on for longer periods of time instead of on and off during the day will use less gas.

Anyone have any recommendations on how to get the best efficiency using a timer?

    Thanks

I think they mean to run boiler for longer periods but at a lower temp but you need good insulation so when the room temp comes up, you hold it in. I have heard people say it works out cheaper.
