    Hi there,

I've recently moved up to Dublin, so haven't got a clue about buses and the likes. I need to get to Lucan from the city centre I've checked up timetables but I am not getting anywhere since I'm not even familiar with street names. If anyone could point me in the right direction, and also how long it would take to get out on a Friday near lunch time.

    Thanks guys.

Depends on where in Lucan you want to go...a big area

66 or 67 go via Main Street Lucan

25s also service parts of Lucan

Any of the following routes serve Lucan Village:
25 from Dawson St, Suffolk Street or Aston Quay
66/a/b or 67 from Pearse St (opposite the Garda station) or Westmoreland St

    Allow about 35 minutes.

Note - neither the 25a nor 25b serve the village.

If you find yourself travelling at peak times, try the limited-stop 25X which operates along the Chapelizod bypass, avoiding the 25, 66, 66a, 66b and 67 routing through Chapelizod Village. Towards the City, it picks up at all stops from Dodsboro as far as Woodies. From the City Centre area, the pick-up points are St. Stephen's Green, Westmoreland Street and along the South Quays.

Don't get a 67x or 66x as they skip Lucan village entirely.

Bear in mind that the 25 only operates once an hour.

The 66/a/b operate every 15 minutes and the 67 every 30 minutes.

If travelling at peak times the 25x is pretty handy, although pricey if you are paying cash. Service skips chapelizod which knocks a bit of time off the journey
