Galaxy Tab 2 adaptor question

    Have the above tablet.

    I want to use the mini usb plug (that I use to charge my phone) to charge the tablet so I need a mini usb to.....??? (given that the Tab has a plug at the bottom which is not compatible)

    I don't know the name of that plug on the tablet, if I knew that I could google a mini usb to....?? adaptor.

    Anyone help? TIA

    Highly unlikely even if you could find such an adapter that it would work. The Samsung connection is samsungs own proprietary one and difficult to get anything other than the type supplied with it. You may find one from Chinese suppliers on ebay but none are guaranteed to work.
    Your phone charger would be unlikely to provide sufficient amps to charge the much larger tab and they may even have electronics built in to make sure you only use an approved charger. I've tried several high amp usb chargers on my tab and only the original one works.
