    failing electrolytic capacitors in the power supply is the most common cause of this problem.

    The electrolytic capacitors (manufacturers using cheap ones)are a common problem in a lot of boxes but can be easily mended if you know which ones are leaking or faulty. You can see a lot about it on Youtube about them. I replaced 2 in a Humax Foxsat HD box last week and it is quite simple.Check out somewhere like this..
