    Replaced a bricked mobo and for some reason the whole system is a lot cooler and quieter , any ideas ??

    Temps are also a lot better on CPU/GPU.

    All fans are working and system was clean before and after . I.e. no dust etc .

    It's a hell of a lot quieter under load .

    Can't figure how a mobo replacement can make such a difference .

    Same mobo too .

    Bad or unoptimised fan control on older board perhaps

    Can be down to bios, drivers or simply the board itself

    e.g. an older retro game machine I had went from hoover to almost silent with a bios upgrade, also noticed higher CPU performance

    Cable management is the same . I used arctic ice thermal compound on the CPU . It seemed to be a few degrees cooler even before it has a few heat cycles through it . But the graphics card has the biggest improvement . 7870xt was crazy loud , now it's 75c under load .

    Not complaining one bit :)
