Where is the best place to get reviews on these? Im looking at the Cokin Z Pro 100mm wide but will consider the Lee filters, if there is a major difference in results.

    Thanks for any tips :-)

    Have a look here>>>> http://www.digitalcameraworld.com/2013/02/18/best-graduated-neutral-density-filters-6-models-tested-and-rated/

I use Lee filters myself and am very happy with them. They were expensive.
    Bought in Barkers of Cork

Barkers of Cork?? Never even heard of them, and online it says they're closed on Saturdays so no good to me anyhow!!:(

Mind you I'll check out if they sell online, and thanks for the link. I've heard the Lee filters are really good, and even tried them out one time and was seriously impressed!!:D

I use 100mm hitech filters, very impressed with them and not as expensive as the Lee ones. I use them in the Lee holder.
    See the reviews above.

Ive been looking at the Hitech ones actually, just pricing them last night compared to the Cokin ones.

A bit puzzled about adaptor rings - are they all the same or must one buy an adaptor ring along with the same brand holder?

I use the Lee filters myself and absolutely love them. I was considering the Cokin system, I believe they're great too until you start stacking filters and then you can get a bit of unwanted colour cast. Im sure its nothing extreme though.

Well thanks everyone for the input, have just ordered the Cokin ones as the Hitech came out that bit more price wise and yet has the same review result shown above in the link.

Now, just to get over the flu before I decide to sit at the waters edge in the cold evenings:D Just as well it will take over the weekend to get the items to me:P

Thanks again everyone, and as soon as I have a picture taken with the filter I will post for C&C!!

    Cheers:pac:

Stacking Cokin filters produces a strong magenta cast that's hard to remove!

Isn't this something that's spotted instantly, and can be adjusted? Or fixed later in editing software (which is something I've never used on my PC till today!! First timer at Photoshop Elements and have just removed a telephone wire from my image!!).

I imagine there are a few factors to consider when working with these, as is the case with any filters...although Im new to this so might be eating my words yet :-)

This will make for interesting testing some evening :P
