Belling FSE60DO, has anyone else had problems with it?

We bought a brand new belling electric cooker during the Summer, the first one we got had to be sent back as the oven door kept opening everytime the oven warmed up. We got a replacement, the same model and it's been just ok. This evening I couldn't figure out why the oven wouldn't switch off even though the knob was set to off.

The knob came away in my hand and the slot on the back is totally cracked down the centre of the knob. I'd noticed a couple of times lately that the door seems to be popping open slightly when you close it while cooking, I mean when you put a roasting dish back in it can be awkward to close.

I'm going to have to contact the manufacturer tomorrow to sort it out, has anyone else had any problems with this model?

not a bit surprised, made to a price that seems attractive when buying but poor quality, remember a Belling cooker when made in Middlesex UK in the 80s retailed at £800 but it lasted 20/25 years with very little maintenance whereas now you can get near enough its equivalent for 500E

Being a Belling and costing 500 euro we thought we were getting a decent cooker, we thought wrong.
