Dentist in NI for extraction

So I went to my dentist yesterday for an xray because my wisdom teeth have been giving me trouble. It turns out that one of them is lying horizontally which is apparently quite common. Anyway, my dentist can't do the extraction and told me I may have to wait up to 2 years to get it done by a specialist publicly. I don't have medical insurance so he said getting it done privately could cost about €600.

Can I get the extraction done in Northern Ireland for much cheaper? It's not too much of a hassle to get up there so if somebody could recommend a clinic or specialist, via PM of course, that would be great.

    Thanks a lot

If your own dentist cannot do it its a specialist job, so you really should see an oral surgeon . Its not 600 euro have a tooth out in the republic either. An oral surgeon will charge around 250-350 for a surgical extraction under local anaesthetic.

I did recommend a dentist in post#2 through my own personal experience, but my post has been deleted.
(presumably because I mentioned them by name)?

They are in Belfast, and I have found them to be very good on all fronts, from price to friendlyness, professionalism, etc.

Only downside is the long train journey up North, and having to take a day off work.

He told me an oral surgeon would charge at least €500, probably €600. I'll do some more research so, seems I'm being ripped off. Thanks

About e300 for a lower surgical extraction under local anaesthetic... This can be higher if you decide to have IV sedation etc but that is not necessary....
