So I'm currently filling out my forms to bring back to my interview next week. I'm 21 and living at home. The problem is my mum is refusing to give me any of her details, she is unemployed and does get benefits of some kind, not sure which. But she wont tell me her PPS, what benefits she gets or how much. Will this make a difference? I know the means test is based off how much my parents earn, and I have my dads information, just not hers. If I show up with all the other documents and information will they send me away because I don't have my mums?

Also does a bank statement count as proof of adress?

It also says I need a 'letter from billholder'... What exactly is that?

If your mums details are vital, the SW office will have access to that information. Bank statement is fine as proof of address. Nobody fits neatly into the boxes. Not sure what a 'letter from billholder' means. Maybe ring the office and ask?

I think that just means that if your only "proof of address" is a bill which isn't in your name, you need a letter from whoever the bill is addressed to, confirming that you live there.

Ah right, cheers for info lads. I think I'm just going to have to go in without her information and hope they understand. She's absolutely adamant that I'm not getting the information and that they don't need it.
