have an 03 almera, bought few months ago from a family that must have let the kids have wars on the back seats, theyre manky!

anyways, has anyone ever rented one of the rug doctor machines - theyre 26e from woodies for 24 hours, not including the solutions.

if so, what solution did you use, their own one or a cheaper alternative? think the upholstery cleaner is 12e a litre.

    any tips to using them?

heres mighty car mods using one on their cars.

    cheers.

when I saw title I was going to send you to mighty car mods.
Impressive alright. Have a load of cars at home that could do with it.

I'm very tempted to get the parents to do the house and then <borrow> the rug doctor for the evening!:D

Never used a rug doctor but my son bought one of these and it did an excellent job on the interior of his car

Used it with this but seems to be out of stock presently

I've used it ages ago (the one from B&Q I think) when I did my house anyway and it was good. Seats weren't particularly dirty and were a bit damp after so air out car after.

Use hot water from the kettle and washing powder. Tell them you have some detergent left over from the last time you used it.

I have cleaned a few car interiors with it and it is great.

I used it before on the interior of a fiesta and did a smashing job, just used some of the liquid washing detergent

We used it this year to do all the upholstery on our campers .
Found it very good once we got used to it using it .
All the cushions are easily removable in our campers so it was much easier to clean these than fixed seats / cushions in a car .
Chemicals we used were the Rug Doctor Upholstery cleaner . This must be used with a foam buster , also from Rug doctor . This stops the build up of foam in the waste tank which can be a pain in the ass if you have to keep emptying it.
I would highly reccommend the spray on Rug Doctor stain remover. This is the best stain remover we have used in our 5 years in business.

After doing all the campers I rushed through my own car . Definitely not as impressed . I think they should supply a smaller hand tool to help you get into the awkward places. The part supplied has a 6 inch hand tool , id much prefer if they also had a 2 or 3 inch head to get the whole area done.

    Overall , I would reccommend this .
Has any tried the Karcher Puzzi ? Some campervan rental companies swear by this machine and its about half the price of the Rug Doctor if bought new .
