    Can you use ceiling paint on wooden sills. I have one to paint and it is the only white paint I have left

    Short answer- no.

    Ceiling paint is an emulsion and usually matt meaning it will pick up dirt easily, is not washable (barely wipeable) and not durable- it will quickly scuff and flake off in time. You need to use an oil-based or water based satinwood product on indoor woodwork and trim.
