Freeview Signal from Derry / Strabane into Donegal

Can anyone tell me if the Freeview Signal Strength from Northern Ireland for the BBC1 group of stations is lower than that for the other groups (UTV, BBCHD, and SAORVIEW) ?

I am not sure if I am getting my signal from Derry or Strabane but the BBC 1 (SD) picture in particular keeps breaking up and at different times over the last few weeks has given a "no signal" on the TV.

You should be able to find out the UHF channel no. your tv is receiving the BBC services on. This will tell which transmitter it's coming from & you can check the direction of your aerial to make sure it's the one the aerial is actually pointed at.

It's also possible you could have interference from the Saorview tests of the 2nd multiplex e.g. Ballybofey Saorview mux. 2 could interfere with Derry BBC A mux. (both on UHF ch. 44).

    Cheers for the reply Peter.

I think it might be on UHF 44 alright - I am just not at home now to verify.

Not sure of the exact wording or terminology so here goes... Is there a list anywhere of what channels are carried on each frequency and which Mux is in operation in my area (from Saorview & Freeview) so as to check for interference etc ??
