Tax - Assessable Spouse

    Hi all,

I'm sure this has been discussed a million times over, but I'm brutal when it comes to tax and any of the examples I come across online don't reflect my own circumstances and only confuse me even more :o

    Two questions really:-

    1. Got married in June 2012. Hubbie would have been earning €45k and I was earning €28k per annum. Would we be entitled to anything back after a year of marriage review?

    2. Have just had a baby so I'm now choosing to stay at home. Will transfer all tax credits to hubbie as the assessable spouse. He now earns €50k per annum. Will this make a significant difference to his take home pay, or are we talking a few measly euro every month?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks! :)
