    Hi All

I purchased a car on 1st September from a car dealer. It was imported in May from England and NCTd in May.

I have a copy of the RF200 and the sales invoice stating that Purchased it in September 2013.

When I try to pay my car tax I am being told that there are arrears from May 2013.

What is the situation now? Who owes the arrears?

    Please advise

    Thank you
    Paddyo

Maybe contact Shannon and see if the details of the car have been updated? You only owe money from the start of the month in which you became the registered owner.

I bought a car on 1st June that had tax expired since Jan. I got a renewal letter then saying tax was owed from January but when I logged in to motor tax to pay it online the proper date came up (from June)

It was online that the arrears showed as due. The dealer is calling Shannon tomorrow.

    Thank you for your replies
