Is anyone else having serious problems connecting to the wifi lately? Eduroam connects but then drops off whenever it feels like it, and as for NUIGWifi, that connects but my browser won't bring up the connection page. Anyone have any solutions?

Eduroam works fairly well for me. I have the same problem as you with the NUIGWiFi though, the sign in page only appears half of the time and then only loads up for me occasionally.

Technically doesn't make any sense, but for me when I have some nuig page bookmarked it tends to redirect better if that's the first place I click to.

Been having problems for the past month or so myself. I can generally connect to the eduroam network without any problems, but the connection will just drop every now and again for a long time. I bought a new laptop at around the same time and afaik, the problem has only occurred on it. This could just be a coincidence though.

The problem has become so annoying that I just setup a hotspot from my phone whenever I use my laptop in college.

I do have a feeling that this is an issue with Windows 8. What OS are you using? My old laptop had Windows 7. My current one has Windows 8.

I can connect to eduroam on my phone with no problems.

EDIT: For those of you with problems with the NuigWifi connect page, try loading up Internet Explorer (yes, I'm being serious) before connecting to the network. Other browsers don't seem to work very well.

I find that for NuigWifi, your best bet is to have the nuigalway site set as your homepage on Internet Explorer. The login site almost always appears that way.
