Sorry now to bother everyone, I bought a watch while on holidays, really really nice looking watch wind up, however I didn't look at it till I got home, it winds up and motion works the second hand turns however the min and hour hands don't, woukd this be fixable or even in terms of cost worth it, only reason I ask as it's such a nice watch with a nice bit of weight to it

The experts here would need to know the make and a few pics would help also. What do you mean by "motion works"? Does it have a display back?

Finally, how much did you pay?

There's a sticky at the top of the W&T forum "Resources" or similar - you mayt find a watchmaker there who'd have a look at it for you....

As in when I wind it on the front face of watch there is a hole in which you can see the mech moving.doesnt have a display back, I only paid 25euro for the watch I know pay for what you get.

Best advice is to bin the watch and put it down to experience. Just to diagnose the fault involves removing the movement from the case and likely the backplate. Cheap movements were not engineered for servicing so that add to the complexity of the job. If repairable the quote is likely to be in three figures.
