Problem with charger or battery?

    Hi All,

    Hoping someone can help me out, I've been having trouble turning my laptop on. My friend repaired my charger for me previously (which is why I think that's probably the cause), but one of you may have had the same issue.

    When I turn the laptop on, with the charger plugged in, it powers up for a second but then immediately dies. I've tried using the laptop with the battery out, or leaving it plugged in for a while first without turning it on, but nothing.

    It's a Fujitsu Siemens model, the model code on the charger is ADP -65 HB AD. Would anyone know of somewhere in Cork where I could pick one of these up?

    The FSC part no is S26113-E519-V55

    It's a few years old and out of warranty so at this stage I just want to save the material I have on the laptop. If I could get a bit longer from the laptop it'd be great. There's Windows Vista installed.

    Any help would be great- thanks!

    Any decent computer store should stock universal laptop power supplies with a variety of connectors, one of which will fit your laptop. Just make sure it matches the requirements of you current charger.
