    Hi,

I was swearing my way through changing the dip light on our Renault Espace (2008 2 litre DCI) when a spring literally spring out of the engine and landed near the front door. It's a small spring and while trying to figure out where it came from I can across a broken plastic mold at the front of car. Not sure if it held the spring in or not. It's red and pretty small so I've attached a photo of it and the spring. Car still running fine, anyone know where this spring goes?

The red yoke is the battery positive pole cover (I think).
It's fairly big though comparing to the pen.

Can you check if it fits the battery?

i wonder is the spring a part of the bonnet lock?

That was my thoughts, looks like it's part of the bonnet lock mechanism, porbably on the bonnet side.
