Architect needed in Dublin

    Hello,

Not just a normal request for a recommendation. Our build is complete but few remaining snags (one major one). However architect has gone off long term sick and seems unable to see this though to the end (we have talked with him and requested him to complete but he is unable/unwilling) We have no cert of completion issued yet.

I will be blunt, we need someone who can if required, be confrontational and will drive this to completion by year end. It is a complex build and so we need someone who knows his/her stuff and is very familiar with residential extensions.

For someone like this it should be a fairly straightforward job.

Please PM me if you are interested in taking this on, and details of your fee.

    Thank you.

Just taking this thread sideways a little, @ Dublin Mom, was the build caried out under contract (and if so, what type?), and, what sort of retention fund is ther (in terms of % of the overall contract sum)?

Just to add to the above, if your original architect is on leave/ill, fair enough...but...did this architect inspect the build? I assume when you refer to a 'cert of completion', what you mean is opinions on complaince? Could your original architect not issue these, even if they are not in a position to look after the completion of snags?

Whatever about an archietct taking on to help you sort out your final snags, you may find it difficult to find an architect willing to sign off compliance on your completed build.
